Relaxation Massage for Partners
5 week online class
Do you want to learn how to give your partner a full body relaxation massage (without wearing your own body out)? Or maybe you want your partner to learn how to help ease your aches and pains? How about both? At the end of the session, you and your partner will have learned a full body relaxing massage that you can enjoy practicing for years to come.
Each week we will spend 90 minutes (week 5 will be 2hrs) covering a different area of the body, and learning a variety of techniques like effleurage, petrissage, and tapotement. We will also practice learning to communicate through touch as well as with constructive feedback to improve our connections with our partners, and grow our confidence in giving a good massage. On the final day of class, we will do a guided full body massage.
All classes will be recorded, and available to students in the class. So don't worry if you have to miss a class. You can always watch later to catch up.
You will need a massage table (or weight-bearing hip height table) and massage lotion or oil (coconut, almond, and grapeseed oils all work great) for this class.
After registering, and before each Saturday, you will receive an email with a zoom link for that week's class.
This class is meant for personal practice, and is not designed to teach you to be a professional Massage Therapist. If you have any pre-existing health conditions, injuries, or are pregnant, please consult your doctor before taking this class. Practice at your own risk.
